Oak Longevity

Hi there! The Oak Care Team is here to guide you through the process of injecting your GLP-1 medication with ease and confidence. Let’s get started!

Step 1

First Remove the sterile cap from the top of the GLP vial, then remove the plunger from the end of the syringe, and finally the cap from the front of the needle. Puncture the top of the vial with the needle and pull back on the plunger, drawing up the medication to your prescribed amount.

Step 2

Next, Choose a subcutaneous site such as your abdominal wall fat, your thigh, or the back of your arm, 3 inches below the shoulder and 3 inches above the elbow, avoiding the shoulder muscle.

Step 3

Clean the area up to two times with an alcohol swab, starting from the middle and going outward in a circular direction. Pinch a large area of skin with your fingers far enough apart to avoid accidentally sticking your fingers

Then, grab the skin, insert the needle, pull back slightly on the syringe to ensure you’re not in a blood vessel, and then push the medication in.

Step 4

Finally, Discard the syringe immediately into a sharps container, wipe with an alcohol swab over the injection area in case of bleeding, and then finally apply a bandage.
